Sunset from the Hill

041. Watch a sunset from the highest naturally-formed point in Melbourne [more info]

Last night on the way home from work I headed out to the hill that gives Diamond Hills its name, and enjoyed the sunset in blissful solitude perched crosslegged atop of the lone picnic table. It was raining lightly, giving the clouds a certain hazy quality and the light a fuzzy warmth about it. In my opinion, clouds make for more beautiful sunrises/sunsets then cloudless skies.

041. Watch a sunset from the highest naturally-formed point in Melbourne

21 01 2010

When will I have achieved this goal? When I have taken a picture while watching a Melbourne sunset from the highest point that isn’t a building, and posted about it afterwards.

Why did I choose this goal? Watching the sun set is a surreal thing, and too many times I watch them from within windows. It’s time for me to get outside and take advantage of the hill near my new house which gives a spectacular view of Melbourne.
